The v6 is cheaper to produce than the v8. The lesser production cost carries down to the consumer, thus giving you a cheaper option if you need a truck, but dont plan on doing any towing

so why did they even make it??
For the bare bones work truck and the fleets. Some people just really dont need power...And thats how we ended up with the Prius and Camry...

Seriously, if you get a V6 or even a 318 V8, get one with a 5-Speed manual transmission. Unless you are an idiot, you wont regret it and you wont have to deal with all the slushbox issues.

well sadly its not 5 speed, oh well...

Ive heard dodge parts are really expsensive? this true?
And would a 18yr be able to afford most these parts? because my parents are really killing me over the dode i want. yes i know the paint is bad but the inside is what im worried about really..

What parts do you need? Performance engine parts are expensive for Mopars. Most replacement parts are at par with Chevy replacement part prices. And parts from the dealer arent horribly expensive either (even though everyone makes it sound like they are).

nothing expect a speedometer..
but im just talking about if it ever breaks down. My dad owned a 2 gen dodge ram, (98 i think), but he said it was always breaking down.
My dad REALLY takes care of his trucks, he isnt one to trash something.
