Default Burning oil?

Hey guys,

I have recently been burning about a quart of oil ( I think) every 500 miles or so. What should I do? I have noticed some minor pinging under moderate-heavy acceleration and I'm pretty sure I got the rest of the cat corpse out (poor thing climbed into my hood, temperature was around 10F). Any ideas?

Do you think the cat could have caused the issue PCV issue? The pinging started right after I discovered the cat (it was a calico and I think it was my neighbors ). And sorry, but what is a plenum?

Plenum is the belly pan on the intake manifold. **** poor design decision on chryslers part.... guaranteed to fail..... Have a look down your throttle body, the plate on the bottom is what you are concerned with. If you see a bunch of oil down there, time to fix it.

Aftermarket PCV valves can sometimes cause excessive oil consumption as well. Only use the ones from the dealer.

Did you actually have a dead cat under your hood? Or is that a euphemism for your converter?

pinging and oil consumption are notorius signs of a blown plenum... plenum fix or AIRGAP

The cat was real, I'm not smart enough for euphemisms. But the real sad thing is that I don't think the owners even cared . I had a cat when I was younger and it ran away, still feel bad.
