valve covers and cold air intake

to the OP, the stock gasket is supposed to be reusable, did you try just re-tightening the VC bolts?

no i have not just snugged them up. i really need a reason (for the wife's benefit) to change out the valve covers. LOL

i do like the set up you got squirrel! where did you get it?

As long as the truck stays on the road you should be good with the 14x3 and the stock tube is not smooth causing it to be restrictive to air, plus stock filter is pretty restrictive, 14x3 or CAI will be better than stock, and a quality element will help with throttle response and the motors ability to breathe...allowing the ability for better mpg

I'm running the K&N fipk cold air intake, and mopar valve covers . Get this i spent 12 bucks on the grommett set and they didn't fit at all. had to go to O'riellys to buy some grommets and rig em.

I built that out of some old Dak air hats. Did a thread about it somewhere around here.

Yah, I still got that zip tie, LOL! maybe I should try to find a black one...

just a question is that dakota a drop base i have the mopar air cleaner and it wont cleear my firewall with the airgap.

I don't recall it being a drop base. Pretty sure its flush with the TB. I'm still puzzled aero why your Airgap is so damn tall...
