I re-looked at my block and my casting # is 53006714-31823. Hence a 5.2L engine. made 9-17-97. far cry from a 99 5.9L engine the dips^&t I bought the truck from told me. Les power Sucks! lol

Located this piece of info.

  1. Search the block for the engine block casting number. The numbers are raised, not stamped into the block and consist of seven numeric digits. The digits can be located on either side of the block. The seven-digit number may be followed with a dash and further numbers. These are change codes and are not normally necessary to identify the engine.

  2. Identify the block casting number. The casting number for the 318 cubic inch, 5.2-liter is either 53006714 or 53006657. The 5.9-liter, 360 cubic inch casting number is 5302006 and the 238 cubic inch, 3.9-liter is 53006711.

  3. Locate the casting date is located on the block. It is in standard date coding, 2.25.93, for example and may be located on either side of the block, but is commonly located on the driver's side of the block, above the freeze plugs. The example 2.25.93 decodes as February 25, 1993. The casting date may be near the casting clock, which designates the hour the block was cast. Magnum engines were manufactured from 1993 to 2002, so verifying the date code helps identify the engine.

That sucks man... got me paranoid now, fixin to go check that myself, just to be on the safe side. As to your problem: i'd figure out if the Crank sensor are the same between the 5.2 and 5.9 (idk if the crankshaft is any different, if its not, theres no need for 2 sensors). If they share a common sensor, (as much as it pains me to say this) get one from a stealership. If they are different, go get a 5.2 one from advanced.

yup, just looked it up on advances website. sorry man, our dodges only like certain sensors in important places.

probably a vicious ploy by the engineers to bring in more money to mother chrysler lol

might wanna take a second look at the cam position sensor though, no need in doing the crank pos. if it aint broke

Thats a good line:
"probably a vicious ploy by the engineers to bring in more money to mother chrysler lol"

I will get both them from the "stealer" lol as soon as the finances let me.(got a friend of a relative at a dealer) As far as the lift goes. it is a rough country 5" suspension lift and 3" body lift.
