32.7" (265 75 16) a good size for a lifted truck?

I agree... it doesn't look bad at all.

I have seen some trucks are lifted so high, and the tires are so small (and least IMO) that the tires are not even really in the wheel wells at all... and that looks funny.

Heres olyelr when I had 285's on her. Thats with 6" of lift.

Personally, I wouldnt go any larger than 265's due to the gearing. 285's would fit well, but with 3.55's it will still be slightly sluggish... but you know all about that since you had 35's on there

I didn't realize re-treads were so cheap! Any one have any negative experiences with the Warden ATs from Treadwright in 285/75/16?

Any positive experiences?

Bigred97 what model of tire did you get?

I was looking at Nittos from DT, but I sure like the price of the retreads!

Are they prone to early failure?

Any issues taking them off road, and airing them down?

Thanks,
Chris

I did a BUNCH of research on Treadwright, and so far, the positives far outweigh the negatives, and the customer service seems to be fairly good too. Negatives I saw were, lots of weight to balance..... (but, they were big tires too, and "lots" wasn't defined.) Tread separation. TW replace the tires without question. A few complaints were that folks could "see" where the new tread was bonded to the carcass....... which is really a non-issue as far as I am concerned.

Search on treadwright here on the forums, there are a few folks that have them here.

I have the Guard Dogs (MTG) 285/75/R16's on my '94 with a 2" spacer. I think the stance is perfect. This truck is my DD and I work at a tree farm when not at school. These tires are awsome. I have put 2500 miles on with no noticeable wear. They look incredible and most people have no idea that they are retreads. Now that I have had them on for a few months I have started noticing them on other trucks on campus, lol. I have not used them in the mud and have never aired them down as that is not practical in a work truck but they are great in the snow. I can drive through 2 feet of snow like it isn't there. I have towed trailers loaded with fullsize pickups out of 2 feet of snow, pulled a 25,000lb truck up hill in a snowstorm (tractor couldn't pull it out). Overall I am very impressed and am buying again for the '89 in my sig. The owner of the tree farm is also going to start putting them on company vehicles.

Mine also balanced really well. They had less weight than the virgin tires they replaced.

Default 37’s

I am running 37 13.5 R20 Toyo Open Country with -19 off set rims.

I did however reprogrammed my computer to compensate for the larger tires and have no issues. And the truck is sitting on a 6” lift.

I do recommend that recomputing your computer will save you a lot of issues and also shutting off your MDS

Also got rid of my 2” spacers due to the rims, a lot cleaner look.
