Its a programmer, so you plug in a cord from your trucks port under the dash to the programmer. The programmer displays a screen that, after a few turns of the ignition key, will give you the option of Diagnostics, or your choice of three tunes (custom or preloaded). After selecting, you will be asked a few simple questions, and then the selected tune will program into your computer. Then, viola! Your truck is tuned.

I highly recommend this product. If I had to choose only ONE thing in my sig, I would choose the SCT...EVEN OVER THE ACTUAL TRUCK!!!

But seriously, this SCT )From hemifever with HIS tunes) are the best.

True story:

I was driving the falimy back from a camping trip a month ago. My check engine light came on. I was thinking it was an "engine too cold for too long" code. I have a 180* thermostat, so it runs cooler in the winter. But this was my first winter with the 180* stat.

So, I was getting nervous. SO I took out the SCt and did a doagnostic scan. Found the code and searched it on my iphone. "Too cold for too long." I was with the family and I wanted to make sure it was nothing serious. ALso, there wa the "MSD ignition" code which does not activate a CEL (code that says the coil #1 is bad...does it for all trucks with a MSD box in it).

Really good product and if you get it from Sean (Hemifever) he will take care of you. Basically he is just like us.
