Default Stall and no shifting

Gents,

New to the Forum. My Ram has been pain free for 16 years now, but just stalled the other day, 2 blocks from the house. I waited about 2 minutes and it started, but would no shift out of 1st gear (auto). There appeared to be radiator fluid on the front of the engine, as if splashed on fan, but no puddle. I sat if for a week and tried it again, and it did the same thing, but with no fluid splash. Starts and runs smooth otherwise. No CEL illuminated. Also, there was a squeek in the belt (or i assumed was the belt) for a few days prior to initial incident.

Many thanks

Guys

Tough to get to Op temp with the stalling and the weather in NE Ohio, but from the test, it looks full and clean, not burnt. No burnt smell. i was not surprised as I check it regularly. Upon closer inspection, the water pump seems to have given up the ghost though. Would that cause a shifting problem or the stalling after a few minutes? Oddly, as I mentioned, if you give it a few minutes to rest, it will restart. Temp guage is out also, so replacing that now.
