i made mine from a piece of 5/8 rod, several nuts, a few washers with 5/8 ID and 1-3/4 OD, and one washer with 1-1/8 ID and a ground down OD to approx 2-5/16. and a piece of plate steel with a 5/8 or better hole for the end of the axle tube.
the 2-5/16 was the approx OD of the seal, and less than the cavity of the axle tube. don't get it stuck in there!!! i welded this washer on top of one of the 5/8. someone above used an old bearing of the right size.
all this cost about $10, and a couple of hours of time. i did destroy one seal on the passenger side (before welding the 2 washers together) which was another $10, but at $20, i'm still way ahead of buying the damn $150 special tool.
