If those are chrome caps over a nut, they will corrode between the two, and the caps will not hold on to the nuts. I.E. You won't be able to get them off. If they are solid..... might be ok.

Those are definitely caps over nuts. I really dislike that style, after a few years of various ugly weather, and, god forbid.... off roading, they will disintegrate like a paper suit in a downpour.

i think the gorilla's are solid steel, and not chrome caps.
the caps wouldn't hold up.

Hmmmm. could be......

Keep in mind, there are sockets made especially for removing wheel locks (which is essentially what those are...) that will buzz those off in short order. Granted, it makes it a bit more difficult, but, only a bit.

Better than nothing though I suppose.

im confused....so are you saying the gorrilla ones I was looking at are alright????
One of the reasons I liked these better then some lock lug nuts was because there all locks on all 20 lug nuts, not just 1 on each wheel. So that means if anyone is messing with my wheels it will take longer and better chance of people seeing. (i park in a parking lot) (which is in the middle of three apartment building meaning the truck can be seen)

i think the gorilla's are fine. at first i thought they were real expensive on amazon at 43, but they're even more on ebay. and you're right, it will slow down or stop a wheel thief. just be sure and write down the code number of you lugs, and i'd even buy an extra socket just in case i lost the original. sometimes a tire shop will lose them.

a long time ago there was a chome lug nut product that was just a chrome cap over a steel lug nut. the caps tended to stretch, and slip on the nut. then you had to chisel the cap off to get the lug loose. i don't think the gorilla's are like that.
