I'm partial to Spicer but he wanted to save money.

I have beaten this topic to death but here goes again (when will this info get into the FAQ's?). The 7400# GVW light duty 2500 has an 8-lug Dana 44 and an 8-lug Chrysler 9.25 HD. If the truck is 8800GVW it has dana 60's (with V8).

You are correct, but this is only true for '94 and '95. After that, they where all HD.
I personally have never seen a 2500 that didn't have a Dana 60 in the front or a Dana 60, 70, or 80 in the rear. I wonder how common the LD trucks are, production numbers wise, for those 2 years.

just looked at the door. I've got 7400 lbs so guess that means Dana 44 front and light duty! Guess that means that my truck is not quite the beast I thought it was! That's ok. It's good enough for me and hauling wood!!!

You are right on the years.

They are rare beasts. I have personally seen only two, one at a junkyard and the other I almost bought as a parts truck.
