why does your door have the emblems and NOT the stickers?

yea those look like the offroad hooks, the only tow hooks that came on our truck were the ones that the offroads had

 

You dont have an offroad, usually first giveaway is the 17" rims, second thing to look for is towhooks and usually the one that is rarely faked is the trussed front dana 44

Yep, those are the factory tow hooks for the off road models.



As I stated before, you can have both, but yours doesn't APPEAR to be an off road.


The late 01 sports didn't have stickers. Instead they went with the normal raised emblems with a small sport badge on each side of the cab (behind the window). The early 01's still had the stickers though.


Yours doesn't appear to be an off road model. Do you have ANY of the things I mentioned in my original post? I cant see the tow hooks, and you obviously don't have 17" wheels, but that stuff can be removed from previous owners. Does your front axle have extra webbing around the differential (thats a little more difficult to removed hahahahah).

 

If I had to keep my truck stock aside from a set of meaty tires, I think I would want it to be that one

 

my dad bought a new truck every year as i was growing up ( green sheet deals were good) he had a black 01 ram off road sport which looked identical to this one. Aside from the pic of the f40 and the viper on my wall growing up. That truck is what made my love for motor vehicles so strong. damn sorry got a lil emotional there lol

 

I like the early 01 better with the stickers,rear cupholder, auto dimming mirrors, vanity mirror lights, front and rear pass. grab handles, the only thing I like about the later 2001s that I dont have are rear disc brakes

 

Take the VIN # to a dodge dealer service dept. It will tell you exactly how it left the factory. Looking at your pics, you have a sport and not an offroad. But don't be discouraged, you can easily build a non offroad edition dodge into one that will be even better. Just takes $.

 

I got the same as the black Sport Offroad but mine is Red!
