Default Hard to start after sitting for a couple hours

I own a 1996 dodge ram with the 318v8 and i have issues starting this truck after it sits for a couple of hours. I Hooked up a fuel pressure guage today and got 45psi running and as soon as i shut the truck off it fell down to 8 psi pretty quick and i could hear something dripping inside the engine, like a leaky fuel injector leaking down. Could my fuel injectors be going out or is there a check valve in the pump that could be going bad? Thanks, Zach

Could be either. Pull the fuel rail, (with injectors,) up out of the intake, so you can see if any are leaking. Turn the key on to pressurize the system, and see if any leak. (DO NOT try and start the engine this way. Bad things may happen.)

You can also check by pressurizing the system and pinch off the fuel supply line. If it holds pressure the injectors are not leaking.
