Default Possible heater core problem

Hi,

Have 98 Ram w/ 61k on the motor. Have had the engine flushed every 3 years since I bought it new. I have recently noticed the smell of antifreeze in the air vent, but no sign of coolant leak on the floor or engine area. The truck runs at normal temp, no heating problems, and no fogging of windows. Mopar said it would be $800 alone for the labor to fix it. Anyone know if a bottle of radiator stop leak could work on this? I'd really hate to have my truck ripped apart for this, plus the cost isn't something i'd enjoy paying for.

I've read on web searches that stop leak may work.

Might work, but, might cause other issues as well..... (like, clogging up various things, like, the heater core.... and radiator.....)

Find the leak. If you smell it inside, doesn't necessarily imply that the leak is inside.....

Are you losing coolant??
