Default Few Ques.

I have a 96 ram 4x4 that I want to put a 3" suspension lift on. What lift is complate but won't break the bank and will make the truck level ? Also what wheels look good on these trucks ? What do you guys think of the kelly safari tires ? What backspacing do I need ? I don't want the tires to rub but don't want them to stick way out either, I will be running 33's. If you guys have any pics that would be awesome.

I recently bought all that stuff for my truck... lift, rims, tires. Haven't gotten around to installing yet though..here's what I got and prices
-3" front coil spacer, 1.5" rear block lift, (4) rough country shocks, rough country steering stablizer all from topguncustomz $270 w/ shipping
-nitto terra grapplers A/T 285/75 16 (almost 33") from discounttiredirect $680 free ship
-16x8 dick cepek torque rims, the new 2011 redesigned models from somewhere on ebay I can find the link if you're interested $540 free ship

Here's a link to my cardomain page so you can see pics of everything

I'm not doing the lift myself, I don't know exactly when the lift is getting done. I'm 15 and don't have my license or permit yet. So I don't have the mechanical ability to do it myself. And a friend who should be doing it isn't one of those people you can rely on as far as getting stuff done on time. Hopefully before I get my permit (end of feb)
Is your truck the dark blue or the electric blue? and are you planning on new tires?
My mistake was buying tires then rims. Because after buying 285/75 16 I found it is a lot easier to find 17" rims then nice 16" black ones.

Save your money for gears first. Or fix the plenum instead of spending all your money on bling. Put that lift on and big tire's, you'll be needing a tranny before long.

as for me. my uncle is a transmission specialist so....the transmission isn't really a worry for me.

As for looking for tires, if you haven't bought them yet. I noticed over weeks of research looking for tires, if you want 33" it usually is cheaper if you go with 285/75 16 or 285/70 17 then going for 33". I'm not sure why though.

Traditional 33's are on 15" rims I believe. It's more rubber so they're a bit more expensive.

Running 33's is hard on the trucks with stock gearing, which is why I'm going down to 265/75R16s.
