Default grille guard

Hello everyone, I had a unfortunate event today that involved an escalade backing into my grille guard and totaling the the guard. So my question is, does anybody know a good grille guard for about $200 and where is a good online store to buy one. I have a 2001 dodge ram sport. It seems like when I find a good grille guard for a good price it wont fit the "sport". Thanks for any input!

question are there any cuts made into the bumper to fit the grille guard that was on there

And why only $200 bucks, the escalade should be buying the same one that was on the truck

At least he hit you and not the other way around. Those things aren't cheap.

They aren't strong either. They're a cosmetic accessory, nothing more. OP, go get something made out of DOM.

Well its kind of a complicated situation. Its a good friend of mine that hit me, and were not going to go on insurance. So im trying to be nice to the friend by only getting one thats $200. As far as I can tell there are only two holes drilled in the front of the bumper to accommodate some bolts. Other than that I dont think that there are. Why would one not work on a sport but it would a non-sport? Whats the difference?

All thats going to knockdown is your grille and bumper if you were to actually hit anything more then brush. $200 will get you something much stronger built by a shop.

it looks like I found a pretty good one for $345 with shipping. It also is one of the very few made for the sport. Its made by "ram off road accessories"

Yeah it seems like you had a sport one on there to start off with, the difference is that you have a different front bumper that hangs lower than a non-sport, you would have to cutout sections of your bumper for a non-sport guard to fit.

Best off getting one made for a sport, next time your friend will look before backing up
