if you want you can do the one on my 91 next.
I'll kindly pass but Zman may take you up on a bit of tug-o-war.

this summer i'm hoping to get it out
Start spraying it now with some of that Mopar rust penetrant, by summer it will either disappear or just fall out.

I just take mine out and throw it under the seat. Never had a problem with rusting as its not in there long enough to rust!

Mine stays on the truck its my rear bumper protector, its amazing what a hitch will do to another car before they can make it to the rear bumper, and I use it quite a bit

Mines always in use I got a little deer head cover that hides the trailer plug so it doesnt get filled with mud again

Mine stays in all the time too. It's nowhere near rusted to the point of getting stuck. It rattles every time I hit a speed bump.
One of these days i'm going to do what Hammer did and spray some plastidip on it to shut it up.

laughin at the irony of the add for reciever hitches at the bottom of this thread.

anyway, mine has gotten stuck in pretty good just sittin for a coupkle weeks without being slid out. I tied a log chain around the tree and pull away, hasnt failed yet, find a concrete wall and back into it, atleast it will break lose and be easier to pull forward with the log chain, i recently took my receiver hitch and dipped it into a bucket of waste oil, hasnt froze anymore on me no matter whose hitch i use or how long it stays in

What is the point of leaving it in? Just lazy?
