Default 3.9 needs a muffler

i need to get my 01 3.9 inspected and the muffler has some holes not really making much noise but you can see it leaking.

im looking for something cheap thats not going to cause emission troubles.

will any generic muffler do?

if so whats the od of the connecting pipes, this will save me some trips to autopart store.

if i wanted anything special it would be something to help get better gas milage not really a loader sound or anything.

thanks

Just go to your local parts store and buy a stock muffler. You're not going to get better mpg from a muffler.

If you dont mind loud, go to local autopart store and grab a cherrybomb/glasspack will end up being the cheapest fix

I was just trying to sell a muffler that had 5k miles on it for dirt cheap. Nobody wanted it so I just gave it to my neighbor. I'd have been more then happy to give it to you. To little to late I guess.

will that pass inspection?

i was hoping for something around the 20-30 dollar universal from autozone or somewhere i have a welder but wasnt sure if it would cause emission issue or id just buy the stock one.

The state of Florida doesn't have emissions and state inspections. Don't understand why PA won't follow through.
