do these Magnums have a limiter for RPM's, went to pass someone yesterday and I think the rev limiter kicked in, kinda freaked me out, would rather not have it on,

RE: RPM limiter
what did it do? there is a top speed limiter but i have no idea about a rev limiter... I'd assume it would have one though.

I've taken mine up to 5k~5200 rpm's w/o any issues.

RE: RPM limiter
What's the top speed limiter set at. Kind of curious because I've had mine up to 115 mph and a friend of mine said he had his up to 120 mph and the speedo stops at 120.

It's somewhere in the neighborhood of 117-120. It can very depending on tire size and a few other things. I'm not sure if the performance PCM eliminates the limiter either, or just increases it. I've only had my Ram up to 100, according to the speedometer. It's a little off, due to my tires not being stock size.

RE: RPM limiter
my rev limiter is at 5500 rpms, it sounds horrible up that high though. Its easy to find when your playing in the mud and pick to low of a gear[&:]

Well at 115 my didn't cut out or anything like most speed govs do but it wasn't picking up speed any more. My buddy said he was doing 120 but I wouldn't swear to that. I wasn't personally looking at my speedo at the time, I had someone else watching while I was driving but I did glance down at 110 and I know the person watching wasn't lying.

As for rev limiter I haven't hit it but I've only redlined once or twice. Sucks way too much gas for that.

the kegger mod would fix that horrible sound at high rpm's... problem is the mag engines cant breath well after about 3500 and the kegger mod opens it up so it can breath well. the heads also suck and contribute to this problem.

I have the kegger mod and it rocks!

RE: RPM limiter
I went to pass someone put it down toward the floor and about half way around them it it started cutting out, let up on throttle a little was fine....thought it may be rev limiter kicking in, felt like it was, had a car that had one, did similar to the Ram
