Default Pitman Arm

Can Anyone tell me if I have to pull the whole centerlink from tie rod to tie rod to replace pitman arm?

If I have to has anyone just cut the pitman arm in half and remove it? Looks to me like i could get the new one on with the centerlink and stuff hooked up.

Any help would be appreciate it and I would buy ya a couple brews if your ever in the neighborhood!

Big John

You unbolt it and use a puller.

Yup. Not that hard when you have a puller. I did mine in 1 hour.

When I did mine, I removed it from the link first. Then I used a pitman arm puller to remove it from the gear box.

eat your wheaties and use a high quality puller. it'll break a cheap puller. you may also have to beat on the side of the arm with a hammer while pulling on it.
