You will need floor jack and jack stands other hand tools its fairly easy job it took me 4 1/2 hours only cause I had a shock that was siezed up. Get a 2 inch leveling kit from hell bent steel on ebay, they are awsome only 65.00 and they send you detailed instructions

The leveling kits are really easy to put in.
You need a spring compressor(rented from autozone), sockets and wrench
Spring compressors work well but are dangerous because of the nature of them so always use extreme caution when using them.

1. Put the truck on stands, and remove the front wheels.
2. Unbolt the shock from its tower and compress the spring.
3. Unbold and take old plate from the bottom of the shock tower/top of spring. There should be a rubber ring that goes over the top of the spring. Keep that.
4. Install the spacer and torque to specs(i dont remember what torque specs though)
5. Rebolt shocks to the top of the tower.
6. Uncompress the spring (a little on each side at a time.)

Feel free to add onto my basic instructions if i missed anything guys...

EDIT: Make sure your using 3ton jackstands Smashed bodies = not good

Just as a heads up make sure you put the jack stands on the frame not the axle, you will need to allow the axle to drop down far enough.

Took me about 3-4 hours as a first timer. This was also due to not being able to get the track bar back on, if I had gotten that on the first time, probably 2 or 3. It is also helpful to have 2 floor jacks if you can get ahold of 2. I also got the Hell Bent Steel one.
Great deal, easy install, good directions, also looks good, and is solid. Oh and one last thing, make sure you get it aligned after, some of mine were off by almost 3 degrees after I put it on. And renting a coil compressor from O'Reilly's is a great help too.

You don't have to, I removed mine to gain some extra axle clearance because I have heavy duty springs and didn't have a compressor

You do not need a spring compressor, and I recommend against them. They are unnecessarily dangerous. I swapped out my stock coils for 2" lifted, and then later swapped those out for 3" lifted, and did it both times without a spring compressor. Only thing you have to diconnect is the shock and the sway bar. When you lower the axle, the spring can be taken in and out with ease.
