Default Seafoam!!

Decided to change my oil today, and sea foam happen to be on sale. Bought two cans onf it, and pout a full one in the gas tank and then half in the oil and half through the brake booster. Stalled it out with the last little bit and let it sit for a good 20min. Came out started it up and blew smoke all over and then changed the oil. All i can say is WOW!!! I have wayyy more power now. Very happy with it, hope it helps my mpg too.

I'd avoid putting it in the oil if I were you. Regular oil changes is good enough.

Pull the hose off the brake booster and slowly pour it in the hose.

I read somewhere once in this forum, that using the PCV valve hose from the top of the valve cover supposedly spreads the seafoam better. I seafoamed my truck using the brake booster last summer, and it smoked quite a bit...2 days later i did it again with the pcv and it smoked like crazy. I just seafoamed it 2 days ago with pcv again, and it worked like a charm. Idle is smooth, doesnt drop to near dying RPMs while slowing to a stop, and just feels a bit better in the pedal. I'd suggest using the pcv valve hose to suck it into the intake, instead of brake booster. It worked better for my truck.

Edited: Just thought I'd add, If i remember correctly, the reason given for the pcv hose being better was that it was smaller in diameter, compared to the hose from the brake booster, so it atomized the seafoam and spread it better. I back this up with 0 scientific facts, except it worked better in my case

putting it in the pcv valve will put the sea foam in your engine oil and not in the engine like the brake booster line.

No it won't. The hose is connected to the intake just like the booster.

Depends on what end you grab.

Yeah, in my post, I said to suck it through the pcv valve "hose"...the one that goes to the intake...I just kinda figured that was a given, since you're trying to clean the intake and such. I never have put it in my oil, even though it says it's safe. Oil changes should be enough if you do them properly.
