If I plan to take my ram off road is there anything I have to "waterproof" the trans or any of that stuff?

Idk about the trans but I'd remove the heat shields around your spark plugs because they get caked full of mud. Also fill the boots with dielectric grease to keep water out

There is a front axle vent on your passenger side front fender well. It has a white cap in the end that lets air out but nothing in. You may want to run it up a little higher or I've even seen people run it inside the cab. There is another vent on the driver side somewhere underneath the steering shaft that vents the transmission I believe. Other than that just make sure you have not exhaust leaks, tranny, transfer case, or oil leaks. You may also want to put a little sealant around the backside of the wheel cylinders in the back to keep water out of the brake drums.

No way to keep water out of the brake drums, aside from not getting into water that deep.

Depending on how deep you get into it.... the rear axle vent might need some attention, as well as the T-case vent. Not sure where the trans vent is, rumor has it it is inside the bellhousing.... and not exactly easy to re-route to a 'safe' location.

Are you using the stock air intake assembly?
