hey guys, I woke up about 1:30 this mourning to plow and my check engine light was on and the only problem i noticed right off the bat was that when truck was just idling it was at about 1200 rpms which normally it idles at between 600 and 800 rpms but then when I put it in to gear it ran fine. I have replaced the TPS and IAC sensors so I dont know what it could be. Any suggestions?

havent checked the codes yet, tomorrow definetly, just wonderin if anybody had the same problem before before I take it to my buddys garage to plug it in.

 

when i did my rockers yesterday i left the brake booster vaccum line off and it idled real high. i had NO BRAKES! but when i hooked it back to the manifold the idel came down to normal.. and my brakes came back. LOL

look for a vaccum leak my 2 cents.

 

so got up on monday and was gonna head to buddys garage to plug in to comp. for the check engine light but when i got into my truck and started it the light was off and no idle problem so idk what it was but it is now tues. evening and still no problems. but got me thinking totally off the subject and figured I would ask for some opinions on how to get more torque out of this truck, so does anybody have any ideas or suggestions?
