hey guys need some electrical help

so a lil while ago my dash lights went out then a lil while after my taillights went out and today i tore into and found that the illum fuse didnt have power so i tore into the aftermarket radio and touched the orange illum wire to the power wire and the dash lights and taillights started working any suggestions????
