SCT programmer for 96 on 95?

Default SCT programmer for 96 on 95?

well i was hoping on buying a programmer to get better gas milage horsepower... etc.. but teh closest i found is for a 96 5.9l and i was wondering if it would work on 1995 5.9l .. cause they are pretty much idetical right?

Unfortunately, they are not identical. The engines are similar, but 1996 was the beginning of the conversion to the On-Board Diagnostic II (OBD II) system, pre-1996 was OBD I. OBD II can be programmed via a programmer, OBD I cannot.

unfortuately not.

you can send you PCM to B&G, they can tune it. there are no hand held devices for OBD1

There is also the mopar performance PCM, which can be had for around 200 bucks, if you search hard enough.
