White smoke.?
ok still looking for answers too the problems associated with my 1996 dodge ram 4x4 ... 5.2 ... Theres alot of white smoke its very cold here so white smoke is normal but the amout that comes from my exhaust isn't .. if idling small amount but accerlerating fron a stop sign other vehicles must find it hard too see .. no blue smoke just white ... any ideas on the cause if so how do I confirm if theres a problem thanks too all who have shared both their knowledge and experieces ...
white smoke generally points to a blown head gasket or cracked head, what does the smoke smell like? are you losing coolant?

Just checked coolant level and its good and no sludge in it also pulled a couple of plugs they look clean checked oil dip stick no white sludge also oil cap looks clean ... stumped ??? new too the dodge family was a chevy man ... how can you tell if your cats plugged ... ty ...
Oil goes down a bit but have a leak at the valve covers hoping too get that done but it blows more white smoke as it warms up then in the first few minutes its white not blue and it doesn't linger in the air like smoke from a burning oil engine ...
