Anyone give me a heads up on how to check rear end lube in a 99 Sport, what grade oil also...thanks guys (and gals)

 

9.25 rear- lubrication calls for API GL 5, SAE 75W-90. Pull the plug the fluid should just trickle out. The fluid should appear "clean" just like thick motor oil, not milky or dark. The fluid should also not smell burnt.

Takes 4.9 pints to fill if changing.

 

now is a good time to go to synthetic. just make sure you add the friction modifier if you have limited slip back there.

 

There are two plugs square some ore resessed some stick out. Remove the one that is on the upper side of the pumpkin houseing...If you remove the bottom one it will pour out.. You should feel the 90wt right at the lip of the hole. If you go to Jiffy Lube to do your oild chaange they check this
