front axle seal leaking?

you NEED to buy the kit from quad4x4.com. it comes with step by step directions and is well worth the price. it will ensure a leak free install first try every time. i used it and highly reccomend it.
many people opt to "fab" their own tool, BUT they usually go through about ten seals before getting the seal seated properly. AGAIN i highly reccomend the kit from here

Correct. Just pull the hub, CAD vacuum motor, and right side axle to get at the seal.
Here's a link to a DIY that covers a replacing both left and right seals as wells as hubs. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...d-rebuild.html
+1 on buying the kit. Without the proper tool installing the right side seal is hit-or-miss.

I did want to point out that there have been people that claim to have been able to install the right side seal with a jury rigged installation tool without problem and I don't doubt that it's possible, but from personal experience and other people's posts I can tell you it might take you a bunch of tries too.

i used 1/2" threaded rod with a cpl washers and harbor freights cheap 30 dollar seal and bearing driver set. the big black disk fits perfectly on the outside of the tube where ur arrows point in the picture, and theres an orange disk in the kit that is barely too big to fit inside the axle tube, i used a bench grinder and turned it a few times until it fit nicely inside the axle. total i spent about 36 dollars and it went right in, no troubles at all! and hasnt leaked since and its been about 1k miles. it is very possible to do it without the "proper tool", i am a firm believer in having the right tool for the job but i couldnt cough up 150 for the tool i know i would only use once, twice if im lucky. good luck
