Default coolant smell when heat is on?????

just bought a 99 dodge ram 1500 with the 318 5.2 and have a few questions about that my problems could be, any info will be much appreciated.

i bought the truck last week for 3600 kinda over paid but its the cleanest dodge i have ever seen and runs very good, my dad noticed when we were looking at it that the guy had put stop leak in the radiator(the white milk looking kind from walmart), the guy told us that's how he got it and that he had no idea why it was in there, we suspected he was lieing of course.

so i changed the oil and flushed the radiator about 6 times it took forever to get that crap out now it to the point where it pretty much green.

"my question is why does it smell like radiator fluid when i first turn my heat on. my dad thinks it the heater core but nothing leaks onto the floor at all, my oil is clean, i don't think it is leaking into the radiator cause it would turn white and have oil and crap at the top. and as far as i know nothings leaking ive been keeping a pretty good eye on it since i flushed it.

everything checks out good doesn't over heat at all always stays below the middle mark, heat works good for the most part when it warmed up. and all fluids look clean. and holds very strong oil pressure.

what do yall think my problem is??
anyone else have this problem it has me sketched out because i dont have the money to replace the head gasket or heater core.

also it doesn't have white smoking coming from the exhaust i did notice a little when i drove it down the street today to my buddy's house he said its because of the straight pipes i got put on today that his does that to as well. till it warmed up

any input on this subject?

Blown heater core or leaking line.

It's your heater core, guaranteed. Mine stank for a year before it dripped.

It's not that hard to do, I think I did it in 3 hours. Unbolt the dash and lift it up on the passenger side, tie it to the grad handle to hold it up. Drop the air box out from underneath, there's a bolt hiding under the PCM. I'd do the evap core while you're in there.
