Default 96 ram 1500 dying

I have a 96 ram 1500 5.9 the other day the starter was not engaging so I picked up a used one from a yard and got it put in but when I go to start it it just turns over and does not pop off unless I give it a lot of gas but as soon as I let off the gas it dies again and if I do get it to stay running it will randomly die when driving any ideas thanks

Try idle air cOntrol or iac it's in the back of the throttle body and trust me it gets full of carbon and will stall it out fast.

it also could be avacum leak or a fuel problem maybe ur pump or injectors. but carb clean those sensors on that throttle body. then check to see if ur fuel injectors are blocked
