Default which timing chain ?

getting ready to purchase a timing set but which one? whats the advantage of an OEM chain set versus a double roller? i understand the different key ways are for changing your timing but not really interested in doing that just want the best chain and sprokets.

Double roller is supposed to be more sturdy and a bit less parasitic.

I used a jp performance chain that was recommended to me for durability and ease of setting a cam. It was a very tight fit though.

Rollmaster make a pretty beefy chain that a few ford guys I know swear by.

lift slightly. if there is any resistance, slide a screwdriver or putty knife under the edge of the timing cover, and ON TOP of the oil pan gasket. slide it back and forth a little to unstick the gasket.

edit - if the timing cover is stuck to the front of the block, give it a whack with a rubber hammer.

I ripped the Oil pan gasket last time I removed the TC. I just patched it with some oil resistant RTV. Might be sloppy, but it worked just fine. beats the heck out of removing the oil pan.
