Default 97 Dodge Ram.. Just died

I have a 97 dodge, i had just put gas in and drove to my place of work. It sat and idled off and on for about an hour and a half. It was running and I put it in drive and it just died. Tapped on the gas tank and it started right back up, but as soon as you applied more gas it would die again. Not it wont do anything but turnover now. It acts like it wants to fire completely but not getting gas. Any ideas?

well more info is needed. I will assume that you still have gas in the tank.

Next Is you let it idle for an hour and a half? Are you in a cold climate? That might allow the engine to carbon up if it's running a bit rich.

I not a mechanic and can only just guess at this. Hopefully some with a little more experience will chime in.

Oh… and welcome to the forums.
