Yep. Gotta drop the valve body though.

Call the shop, have a chat, see what they have to say, and what they are willing to do for you.

You could conceivably drive it back..... with O/D disabled. (gas mileage would SUCK.)

well hell after i let the tranny cool down for a few hrs(this was the first trip over 50 miles that i have taken the truck on in about 8 months) i went to test drive it to see if it did the same thing with o/d off and now it drives and shifts perfectly fine, could the tcc just overheated or something?

I cleaned the hell out of my old TC, but yeah, I'm wishing now I had changed it.

Cause now I may have to drop the tranny again. plus I'm sure some stuff is still in the TC..

If you're still stuck in Louisiana, call PATC, I think they're located in Shreveport/ Bosier City.

http://www.transmissioncenter.net/

They are one of the few online respected tranny shops. See what they think.

Little brass feller about an inch in diameter, and maybe just a bit longer, will be found on the trans cooler line just behind the radiator. (in the engine compartment...) steel line threads into it, then rubber line to fitting at the radiator. (lower fitting.)
