Default Using new wheels with older model

Is there a possible Hub conversion that will allow me to use 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 wheels on my 1997 Dodge RAM 1500

Is yours a 4x4 or 4x2? If it is a 4x4 they will bolt up no problem.

If it is a 4x2 then you will have to modify the front bearing dust covers on the hubs as they won't allow the rim to sit flush on the hub. And even when you get the dust covers modified, you won't be able to use the center caps on the front wheels.

You could however, get the hubs from a 2001 2wd, and have no issues with them at all.

Either way It can be done, just takes some modification on the front if yours is indeed a 4x2.

What about the newer 20" wheels on a 01?

If it has unit bearings(00-01) you will have no problems bolting up with 2wd, the older trucks 94-99 have the bearings in the rotor and have the hub clearance problems

Adaptors will solve the problem on the 94-99 2wds

4x4 like stated have no problems fitting
