The dash is actually several parts, which part are you referring to?
Several folks have installed the up-rated overhead console into their trucks. Some have more hoops to jump thru than others. A search should turn up several threads on it.
That part is available in the aftermarket, made of better, more durable materials, I think they run between 250 and 300?? LMC truck, and a few other places sell 'em.
