Gutting the cat can (not necessarily "will") trigger a code for the REAR O2 sensor. (post cat.) That's just the pcm whining about cat efficiency, and does not affect how the truck runs. The non-fouler trick on that sensor solves the problem.

Yeah I only took it to 4500 real fast. Its plenty loud. Wish Summit would have had 3 inch pipe instead of 2.5. Ive had the flowmaster super 44 on it didnt like it, flowmaster delta 40 didnt like it, so I went with the one that is for OFF ROAD USE ONLY! lol

my summit exhaust is 3" from the cat back. here in NH(or at least where i go anyways) for inspection all you need is a muffler with some sort of baffle in it. and as long as it looks like a muffler it will pass inspection! i think im gonna gut my cat when i buy the muffler and install the non fouler.

i had a glasspack pass inspection before so i know anything i put on my truck it will pass.

Thats why your state senator wants to ban any modification to exhaust systems. Thanks for ****ing it up for the rest of us. That crap belongs on the track.

Most states have laws about how loud an exhaust system can be. Rather than banning it and/or making new laws, they just need to make sure the current ones are getting enforced. My state has a law about how loud an exhaust can be, but the cops never enforce it.
