I just wanted to see if anybody had any advice and/or pictures for installing a winch other than your cookie cutter winch bumper.
I'm thinking about taking my XRC8 off the Dakota and putting it on the Ram. I'm hoping I can just pull of the front bumper and tie it together between the front frame rails, cut a hole in the bumper...mount the fairlead and slap it all back together. Let me know what you guys think.

 

There isn't much room at all behind the bumper. That's why everyone uses aftermarket bumpers.

 

Grab one of the front receiver mounts, and bolt that to the truck, then get a removable winch mount. You can run cables to both front and rear of the truck, and winch from either direction.
