Default question about lift

I have a 97 ram sport that i bought with what looks to be a 3 inch lift already on it. I dont know the brand but it has after market control arms. What i am wondering is will i beable to get away with buying 5 inch springs, pit man arm and add-a-leaf to get a 5 inch lift? and if so how big do you think i can go with the 3 inch lift control arms?

All the 3" kits I've seen the control arms are stock length they're just tube instead of c channel.

Half ton truck? 3" lift, you might be able to get away with 35's, IF you don't do much off-roading/flex your suspension much, otherwise, 33's. If you go for more lift, you will need to do something about the control arms. Otherwise you are going to have some rather interesting steering issues.

anything over 3" with the short arms would kill the ride and flex. if your gonna throw a 5" on it you need to get a set of the dick cepek long arms. i'm running a 3" rancho lift with a 3" body lift and my rig is sitting on 37's with no problem the only time they rub is at full lock they hit my upper control arms but only every once and a while.

nope i ran my stock track bar in the stock location for two years with no issues at all. but later on you will want to get an adjustable track bar through thuren fab or sky jacker they tend to be reasonably priced and way tougher than the stock unit.
