Timing Chain Question
Yeah, I figured it out. One other thing and hopefully I will leave you alone. When tightening the bolt the sprocket started to turn. Of course, the chain also turned the bottom sprocket, but the two marks are now out of alignment. Does this matter since they are now in sync, or do the marks need to be lined up when starting engine?
the marks do not have to be aligned when starting the engine.
to verify its installed correctly, continue to rotate the engine. after 1 full revolution of the cam they will realign. its a good idea to rotate it around a couple of time just for the peace of mind that its aligned correctly.
