I'm going to be adding a trans cooler and was wondering what you guys suggest? My truck doesn't have the towing package, but I was just looking to install one to hopefully extend the life of my trans. I don't tow any trailers, just haul my 4wheelers and some firewood in the bed.

 

Well, could I suggest you install a temp guage 1st and see if you really need one.
While you'd benefit from any size cooler, maybe you wouldn't need one at all.
Your truck is 14 years old and if it hasn't had any tranny issues...at this point it probably wouldn't matter.

 

get a big one, or don't even bother.

i used this one. don't go any smaller. bigger is better.
