Patience fellow young grasshopper, patience. You can wait like the rest of us.

At least you can get it at 16. I have to wait another 6 months after I turn 16.

If you have your permit then shouldn't you already know the answer to that question?

Consider yourself lucky, in Ky you can't even get a permit until your 16.

More and more I believe both the driving age and voting age should be raised to 25.

and I'll add, though it is distasteful- a person should have to pass a test, demonstrating constitutional understanding and current events before being allowed to vote.. I become sick every time I look or listen to a career politician who gained office by using a 'catch phrase' aimed at ignorant and easily duped people..

And, just to demonstrate how cantankerous I can be- I also hold firmly to a road test every decade for all drivers, advancing to bi-annual road tests at age 74, and ultimately to annual road tests by 80 for all license holders- and I think that actually may be too lenient to be honest..

Then there would be about 2,000 voters left...

At the very least, I agree.

but think about how the game of politicin' would change.. no longer would catchy buzz phrases or assaults on the integrity of a politicians opponent be useful anymore..

the politician would actually have to explain in detail to potential voters their plan and their vision- and not something that gives you a warm fuzzy like an item in the grocery store check-out line, that you just gotta have..

could care less about the voting but i think the age for getting your license is fine. the only thing i think needs to happen is the kids need to taught how to drive properly by there parents or at some driving school.

98% of the drivers out there shouldn't even be behind the wheel as it stands, so your idea about being taught how to drive "by their parents" is mute. A learner's permit until age 25 would be fine.
