Hope you are going through Hemifever, since he does programming for them and gives you one heck of a discount over the traditional SCT pricing.

It will be almost a night and day difference from stock programming. However, you won't see a whole lot of extra MPGs, mainly because you'll be using the gas pedal more (you'll really like those extra, freed up ponies).

Did you fix your plenum gasket yet?

Manifold on these trucks is two-piece. There is a steel plate, with a gasket... on the bottom of the manifold. Gotta pull the intake to fix it. The bolts that hold the plate in place were too long from the factory, so, after a boatload of heating/cooling cycles, the less-than-stellar gasket would fail, introducing a serious vacuum leak into the intake, from the valley of the engine. Excessive oil consumption, fouled plugs, clogged cat, trashed O2 sensors, were the general result. (along with a corresponding loss in fuel economy.)

There are a BUNCH of threads on here dealing with it, including a DIY or two on fixing it.
