Default HiPoTek Differential Cover with Drain - Great Product

Today I installed a rear diff cover on my truck setup for differential fluid changes, the part is made by HiPoTek. It has threaded filll and bottom drain. Got it off ebay for like $75 bucks. Makes draining and filling the rear differential a breeze.

I actually got to use it today also, as I put in a quart of 80w90 and 85w140 by accident. Dang Lucas gear oil needs to make the bottles look different... Anyway, went down and got 2 more 85w140 and did the service. Took about 20 minutes in my drive way, could not have been easier.

You should still take the cover off to when changing the fluid. That's the only way you can really wash out all the old fluid and inspect the teeth. Plus there is a magnet on the bottom of the housing that you will want to check for metal fragments.
