Default very rough idle

First off I have a 1997 1500 with the 5.2. 191100 all original miles. For about 2 months or so when my truch has been sitting all night or is just "cold" and hasn't been run that day I will go out and start it up and about 2 minutes after running it starts to sputter and shake very badly. Like it wants to stall. This morning it started doing it real bad and I could smell bad oil burning. It was like hissing. I seriously thought it was going to blow up. Whenever I hit the gas though it stops and idles perfect and runs great when I start driving. What could this be? TPS? Thanks for any input.

could be your tps or iac, pull the throttle body off and give it a good cleaning.

The oxygen sensor is about 99% sure to fix it. What you've described is about half of the most commonly reported symptom picture. The other half is hearing the throttle body sucking wind.
