Limited Slip Diff?
I was reading.... "A new off-road group was set up for the Ram 1500 4x4 with short wheelbase, using a unique suspension, limited slip differential, heavy duty components, skid plates, tow hooks, fog lamps, 4.10 axles, and different tires and wheels." Here: http://www.allpar.com/model/ram/1994-ram.html
Is this true? These off road trucks have a limited slip in it? Youd think Id know this since I own one but Im not sure. Plus these are just regular axels right? Not Dana 44s. Just a beefer 1500 axel. Also, I think I need to level out my front lift for my truck. What should I do?
Im also gonna request a build sheet tomorrow. Im curious. haha.
Also has anyone made(or has) a skid plate for the front of the truck? That protects the steering components and what not? Like the Tacoma kind of? Im thinkin I wanna get some skid plates for my truck in the future.

Yup. Off-road package comes with a chrysler 9.25 LSD rear end, 4.10 gears, heavy duty T-case and gas tank skid plate, HD springs, add-a-leaf (extra leaf spring) in the rear, and a ~2.5 inch lift.
Edited to add: the front axle is a dana 44 on all ram 1500 4x4's

Ya I have a recent thread of my build sheet and some of the stuff I dont have... haha
And I know its a 2 inch lift, but its not leveled. So I gotta figure out what to do to level it out. I didnt really notice it not being level till I got my new tires on.

I assume when you say it is not level, you mean the front is lower then the rear?
If so, why level it? All that does is make a truck look silly when you put even the meagerest amount of weight in the bed and your nose is pointing up. Worse is when your rear leafs start to sag a little over time, and then you drive around with nose up all the time, even with an empty bed. Leave a slight forward rack.

Soo true Silver! I did not think about that at all. I hate that look. haha
There was a 06 or whatever F150 where I used to live where the back was sagged(it was lifted a few inches) and it looked like crap.
