Default Headlight Keeps Blowing

My headlight just blew about 3 weeks ago. It was replaced before then a few years ago. I put in a direct replacement and it lasted about 2 or 3 weeks and blew again. I replaced it as well as the other one last night. They both got the same bulb put in. Tonight while driving, I saw that the same one blew again. That's 3 times within 3 weeks. Any idea what it could be? When it blows, all the glass is gone from the bulb and all that's left is the base.
This is on my 96 Ram 1500.

Most likely your headlight casing came unsealed, which allows water to get in (or condensation to build up)... touch cold water with a hot bulb and... you know the rest

Are you taking care to keep your fingers and everything else off of the glass envelope of the replacement lamps? If not, try that -- and if you touch the envelope with anything, wash it with alcohol and try again more carefully.

Also check your grounds.... a bad ground will EAT headlights.

+1 on the water getting in your light housing. I had the same problem.

Well I'm going to agree that it's the water. Didn't think it was that bad till I looked at it and I had just over a half inch of water in it as well as condensation on the lens. Just ordered a new pair of headlights so hopefully that fixes it! Thanks

Rear block. Lift coil, upper control arms, and shocks from Suspension Max and it was the worst experience I've ever had. Don't buy anything from that company! If I have to make a topic on how bad my experience was with them then I will. The lift looks good in the end, but it took 3 months to get the lift installed correctly.
