Question Suggestions on Heater Core?

Any suggestions on Heater Core? You guys see any problems in using aftermarket ones. They're about half the cost. The dealership quoted me $1100 to do it the repairs, parts and labor, that is crazy. They want $160 for the OEM one. I've seen the DIY's on doing this and I believe I can tackle it without screwing anything up.

Do it yourself.

If you can, get a brass heater core. (if they are even available....) if you are really paranoid, pressure test it before installation.

Thanks guys, it's going to be really nice weather tomorrow, so I should be able to get it done. DIY'S said it takes about two hours or longer. So I usually double the time, because I'm still learning how to do this kind of repairs.

Two hours??? I only WISH I could do a heater core in two hours. Plan on six to eight, just to be safe. Let us know how it goes, and how long it actually takes you.
