two questions one about seat belt light, one about plenum
Okay, first off. I have my seatbelt light on constantly even when every seat is buckled. I'm not sure if this truck has a passenger sensor, I've seen cars that do. But even then, even when my passenger is buckled I get a seatbelt light.
This started happening after I pulled the seatbelt fuse. (I needed a ten amp for something else..) Anyway on a side note, pulling that fuse is a mistake. You hit the brakes good one time, or just randomly after driving the seatbelt will lock you in place. So definitely don't pull that fuse.
Anyway, any ideas whet to check or how to rig it so this light goes off??
2:
I put my camera into my throttle body, and snaked it around. The wall of the inside of the plenum have oily residue on them and the plenum plate itself looks like someone sneezed oil onto it. (It probably has 12,000 miles on the Hughes plenum fix) I didn't open the plenum when I did the latest engine work, as I had done it recently. I figure with the PCV and all some oil will appear in there but how much is normal and how much is a problem?

Did you replace the seatbelt fuse?
Check under the drivers seat. There is a connector there for the sensor. It might be giving you some issues.
As for the plenum, do you have an aftermarket PCV valve in your truck? If so, get thee to the dealer, and get one from them. Aftermarket valves don't always (rarely, if ever) have the correct flow rate.

Does this apply to a 96 also? I've looked for one there for over 7 years and ain't found it yet. Sure would like to get that damn light off!
