Unhappy Ah! Help!

Going to sound like a girl but thats ok cause I am one! I have a 99' Ram 1500 2x4 Magnum sport. I put my key in ignition and turn it the engine clicks. I put the truck in neutral and it fires right up! What the heck could possibly be wrong? I know that the plenum gasket needs to be replaced and I'm wondering if this has to do with that or some total other issue?! This truck is nickel and dimeing me :/

Plenum gasket has nothing to do with it. I would say that there is a sensor or something that needs replaced. Someone will be able to tell you what it is much better than I.

It's most likely either a linkage adjustment or park/neutral safety switch problem.
