Default 2001 ram 1500 5.2l 4x4 leaking oil from front of motor

Hello guys I am need if some help badly.The water pump went out so it is throwing water all over the place from off the belt when it spins like normal but also there is what looks like motor oil getting thrown around off the belt also. we looked but cant seen to locate where the oil is leaking and the oil preasure gauge is still about at normal. Does anybody have any idea where might this oil be coming from????? Thnx oh and what is wierd is i checked the oil level after there was oil all over the place and it ramained the same.....

Are you sure it is oil? Maybe you busted a power steering line.

i didnt even check for that. Can a power steering fluid leak make its way on to the belt?

Power steering fluid is under pressure, so, it can find its way ANYWHERE.

When you replace your water pump, also do timing chain and gears, and front crank seal. (seal will come in the kit you will need to do timing set.)

Tranny line could be leaking also. You have to look, no one here can tell you where it's leaking from except you.

My water pump froze up and the belt broke and when it did it took the power steering return line with it. Like Zman said it could definitely have grabbed a tranny line on the passenger side as well. Check all of those.
